Well, that depends.

What the Lightboard gives you is the ability to write on the glass, and interact with the viewer. If you just want to display images (like a PowerPoint), and you’re not going to be writing … then you don’t need one. Just install OBS, and have fun.

That said – once you have a Lightboard, you’ll never want to work without one. I keep finding new and exciting uses for this. It’s like having a scribble pad ready to go in EVERY online video interaction.

So, do I need one?  If you want to write and have it show up – yes.
